Rev. Sheila McKeithen is President of the Universal Foundation for Better Living, Inc. (U.F.B.L.), a global organization with ministries world-wide established in 1974 by New Thought Giant, the Late Dr. Johnnie Colemon. Rev. Sheila was mentored in ministry by the Late Dr. Mary Tumpkin, the Immediate Past President of U.F.B.L. and ordained into ministry by Dr. Colemon in 1995. She is the 3rd President in the 47 year history of the U.F.B.L.

Upon ordination, Rev. Sheila accepted a six (6) month ministry assignment in Jamaica, West Indies, even though she was serving as an Assistant Attorney General in Florida. The rest is history as this year—2021– marks her twenty sixth (26th) year in service to the nation of Jamaica.
She was appointed to serve on a governmental board by Jamaica’s first female Prime Minister, The Honorable Portia Simpson Miller and is featured in famed Jamaican Photographer Peter Ferguson’s recent book: Change Makers: 101 Women Portraits of Women in Jamaica. In 2019, her home county in Florida named a day in her honor and the worldwide New Thought Organizations honored her with a Walden Award in the category of Interfaith and Intercultural Understanding. She was inducted into the Martin Luther King Board of Preachers @ Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia in 2001.
A spiritual teacher, with an emphasis in healing, she is the author of Twelve Steps to Your Healing and several audio programs. A spiritual activist, contributor to news article, books, films and movies, Rev. Sheila’s favorite scripture is Psalm 46:10 – Be still and Know that I am God.
